Some are like water some are like heat

Updated: Sep 7, 2020

Some are like water, some are like the heat, Some are a melody and some are the beat” – Forever young Alphaville

We are all different, we know it and we understand it yet we as parents and teachers still expect learners to hear, interpret, and understand the information in the same way. Our brains are all wired differently just asked the parent of a child on the autistic spectrum.

How we interpret information does in no way whatsoever determine our intelligence. We are however measured by it in a standardized world. He/she can’t do mathematics he/she is “less” intelligent than someone who can. He can’t spell words up to the standard he is obviously uneducated. These are just a few of the quips that someone who sees the world differently and interprets information in a unique way has to deal with daily.

Here is a thought. If someone excels in school does that mean he is of higher intelligence or he coincidentally prefers how the information is conveyed and then flourishes within this standardized system?

My answer? Absolutely the latter part of that sentence.

I believe that each one of us has the potential to unlock our unique learning ability. We cannot change the education system overnight that would be a futile endeavor. But what can we do to unlock our own unique talent so that we can function optimally in this existing system whilst developing skills to trail blaze our own path to success?

THE FIRST STEP

DISCOVER WHAT MAKE YOU TICK!

What excites you?

What information seems to just enter and stick in your memory without any effort?

Herein lies your strength.

Education as we know it is not the way forward.

“Everyone is a genius but if you judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree then it will live its whole life believing its stupid” – Albert Einstein

This quote from Albert Einstein motivated me 15 years ago to develop a teaching and study method that will be able to resonate with each learner’s individual strengths and learning preferences.

You might be a flying eagle but forced to run like a cheetah and not realizing your unique talent from focusing all your energy trying to catch up!

Applying my method teaches learners/anyone that wants to learn how to approach, organize, decode, and apply information. You can dramatically improve in all your subjects/working environment. Find your own approach to studying that motivates you to take charge of your academic future.

My goal is to not just teach the facts but train minds to think and thrive.

I approach life by taking every situation on face value, evaluate and assess the problem/situation taking into consideration every unique variable of that situation, and solve whatever needs to be solved.

This means that I can help you teach better as a teacher, get better grades as a student, and generally help you excel on your career path!

My next article will be on how we decode and understand information. Click like and subscribe to my Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/tutorandstudymethods/ for more updates and information on how you can introduce your way of thinking into your life!

Keep flying.
